If you are looking for ideas and inspiration of fun things for your kids can do this February half-term, here is a list of events and activities for children of all ages to enjoy in and around Bristol on every day of half-term.

Before you read on, please do give the Bristol Mum Facebook page a like as I will be posting even more ideas of fun things to do over the next week. This post of 20 free and fantastic places in Bristol to visit with kids should also be helpful.

Rock Climbing at BLOC Climbing Centre– New Clip and Climb: The Outdoors Project

A holiday club adventure day for kids aged 5 – 12 with The Outdoors Project including 2 hours of indoor rock climbing: climb commando style on the Jungle Gym, reach new heights on the Skyscraper, take the speed challenge, race friends up Face to Face or take the Leap of Faith.

GO SKETCH ‘Drawing Dragons’ workshop: Emerson’s Green Village Hall

An arty GO SKETCH workshop where kids aged 6+ will explore the mystical world of dragons this half term! Kids will be learning how to draw Japanese dragons and how to paint a dragon in one stoke (based on the ancient art of Hitofude Ryuu).

GO SKETCH ‘Watercolour Animals’ workshop: Emerson’s Green Village Hall

An arty GO SKETCH workshop for kids aged 6+ to explore the artwork of local artist Rosie Webb to create their own animals using watercolour techniques. Discover the colourful art of local Bristol artist Rosie Webb who uses watercolour techniques to paint a variety of animals. Children will be learning how to use watercolours to paint their own funny animals!

Where’s Wesley? Half-term Activity day at the New Room, Broadmead

Free half term activity day at the New Room (John Wesley’s Chapel) in Broadmead, Bristol – next to St James’ Arcade. Find out about John Wesley and his work in Bristol, dress up in costume, find the 18th century graffiti and crack the secret code!

There are TWO LEGO days at Zion on the 9th and 10th February from 10am – 12 noon. The events are suitable for children aged 4+ but all ages welcome, Duplo is available for little ones.
