If you like the sound of an outdoor parent and toddler group with great activities all inspired by nature then read on!
The groups are inspired by the forest school ethos and principles with activities based around nature with a different theme each week, all with the aim of helping young children learn about the Great Outdoors.
Saplings is for children aged 18 months – 4 years but Saplings under 18 months go free. There are bug hunts, outdoor art, stories, games, and many more fun outdoor activities!
Saplings is run by qualified forest school leaders who are also first aid trained and DBS checked. Sessions are held whatever the weather!
There are two Saplings sessions at St Andrew’s Park on Thursdays in term-time at either 10 – 11.15am or 1.15 – 2.30pm.
The Victoria Park Saplings group will run on Fridays in term-time at 10 – 11.15am.
Both courses start after the Easter holidays and will run for 5 weeks until half-term and cost £35. Following half-term, it is a 7-week course costing £49.
Saplings is run by The Outdoors Project which also offers high-energy holiday club activities to older children aged 5 – 12 in half-term and holidays, plus birthday parties, too.
