On Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th February children will have the chance to become fearsome warriors!
Bristol Museum is holding a free Warrior Weekend where children and families can meet the Wulfheodenas Anglo-Saxon warriors and enjoy all kinds of warrior-like activities!
There will be dressing-up, traditional board games to play, craft activities, demonstrations by leather workers and wood carvers and the chance to get up close to replica Saxon armoury and weapons!
Families can also have a go at spinning and braiding, discover what Saxon warriors ate and then sit down around the campfire for a storytelling session of warrior battles!
The storytelling sessions will take place at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
The Warrior Weekend is free and runs on a drop-in basis from 10am – 4pm. Any activities which take place in the Warrior Treasures Gallery are free for children but over 16s must pay (adults get £1 off exhibition entry with one child).
You can find Bristol Museum on Queens Road, BS1 1RL.
