On Wednesday 6th December it is the 10th annual Henleaze Christmas Festival and this year’s event promises to be the best yet!
The festival runs from 4 – 8pm and is free entry and, as well as lots of local shops being open throughout the event, there is lots of festive fun for children and families.
Father Christmas will be arriving at 4.30pm and will be at his Grotto at the Lloyds Bank car park on Cardigan Road awaiting visitors!
There will also be child-friendly fairground rides such as a Big Wheel, Helter Skelter and Roundabout.
There will be a huge variety of wonderful music including bell ringing, school and community choirs, a young recorder group, a jazz band, the Salvation Army Band and of course, festive carol singing.
Children and parents will also enjoy spotting Richie and Jamie the Stilt Walkers wading through the crowds!
The festival will also be a great chance to do some Christmas shopping with over 50 stalls selling wonderful gifts and stocking fillers including stained glass panels, ceramics and handbags.
There will also be some fantastic local food also such as Pork Stroganoff, pizzas, award-winning sausage rolls, big dogs (sausage in brioche rolls), sweets, cakes and much more!
Christmas Charity Prize Draw:
There will also be a Christmas Charity Prize Draw which is £1 per ticket raising money for local charities: Ronald McDonald House, Avon Riding School for the Disabled, Time is Precious and A Life For a Cure.
