Windmill Hill City Farm Autumn Fair: Stories, Crafts & Outdoors Fun

Enjoy a lovely autumn day out on Saturday 29th September at Windmill Hill City Farm Autumn Fair 2018.

There will be lots of fun activities for families to enjoy including live music from local bands and musicians, a bar and a fantastic market selling local products and produce.

There will also be some great outdoorsy and crafty fun especially for kids – details below!

Story Crafting:
Enjoy some arty crafting of objects using materials freshly sourced from outdoors. Then gather around the little fire to enjoy some special stories full of fabulous sounds and sensations to bring the characters and their adventures truly to life. Expect plenty of dress up and duelling, roaring and talking!

Once the stories are over, children will use their imaginations designing their own characters and creatures for the next exciting stage of the story!

Autumn Tree Crafting:
Children aged from 2-12 will love this activity in the barn with the wonderful Caraboo Projects creating a beautiful crafty Autumn tree!

Collect some of the leaves that have fallen to decorate and then attach to the tree. The Caraboo team will use the photos to make a still-shot animation that we can e-mail to you!

Although this is a children’s workshop, adults are welcome too!

Ape Project Outdoor Activities:
Join APE Project to do some fire craft and traditional bread baking techniques on an open fire. Children will learn how to use tools, start fires safely without matches then learn a traditional damper bread recipe to eat and enjoy! Suitable for 5 to 15 year olds.

The Windmill Hill Autumn Fair takes place from 11am-5pm and entry is £3 per adult, £1 per child.

You can find the farm on Philip St, Bristol, BS3 4EA.
