‘Perform For Life are passionate about performing both onstage and away from the stage’
Brand new in Bristol for Autumn 2018!
Has your son / daughter shown interest in performing? Or could they do with a confidence boost for school / social situations, in an encouraging and uplifting environment?
Perform For Life offers small group, one-to-one and duo sessions in Singing, Drama and Movement for ages 6+.
Through these three areas, students not only develop their performance ability; they also build skills which can be used away from the stage. These might include:
– listening and reading skills
– public speaking skills
– increased memory recall
– learning about different characters, emotions and situations to develop empathy and communicate effectively with others
Sessions are fun and engaging, with opportunity to get creative and collaborative with pre-existing stories / musical repertoire, as well as creating original material!
Tutors are friendly, experienced and qualified. Through the small-group set-up, they take the time to get to know students as an individuals, and aim to build a strong rapport with each one.
“My daughter LOVES her one-to-one lessons, and comes back enthused with the variety of new pieces she gets to work on. Sometimes school can be very busy, and Katrina’s lessons are such a good motivator and keep her going. Thank you!” (Parent of private student)
“Katrina is a great, enthusiastic singing teacher! She really listens to what I would like to do, and is fantastic at coming up with solutions to my voice questions. She is also very good at describing what is actually going on in your throat and mouth when you are singing; I can really picture it and that helps me to improve as a singer!” (Private student)
Work towards a Certificate!
Perform For Life also works with students towards a certificate with the prestigious LAMDA or Trinity College London exam boards. These can be done on a solo, duo or group-basis, depending on what suits the student best.
Areas offered include Musical Theatre, Pop / Rock Singing, Acting & Devising, Communication, and more.
Preparing for an exam builds and refines the performance and life skills mentioned above. They also provide students with accreditation of their time and commitment in an extra curricular activity.
