Hours: 37 hours per week, fixed term post (term-time only plus 5 Inset days)

Fairfield High School currently has a job vacancy for a Student Achievement Manager.  A creative individual is needed to work with members of teaching staff in providing support and motivation to our students through counselling and coaching and will be working across all year groups.  The ability to establish clear expectations of good behaviour and student achievement is vital.  The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and proven experience of working with young people and their families.  Areas of focus will include working with students with complex needs.

The successful candidate will also have a safeguarding triage DSL role and should:

  • Have experience of safeguarding in school
  • Undergo DSL training (Fairfield will provide)
  • Input information and follow up on actions using CPOMS
  • Undergo safeguarding and DSL actions – reports monitored, action outcomes and support the DSLs

This is a temporary position on a fixed term contract to start as soon as possible to 31/08/2021.  Salary is based on grade 19 – 23, full time equivalent of £25,481 to £27,741.  The actual pro rata salary for 37 hours per week, term time only plus 10 days will be £22,381 – £24,366 per annum.

Hours of work will be 37 per week, from 8.15am until 4.15pm four days per week, and from 8.30am until 4.00pm one day per week.  These timings are inclusive of half an hour daily for lunch.  There will be a requirement to work all five INSET days, plus five days.
