On Saturday 1st November, children and families can come along to the Brunel Institute and get arty at The Big Draw, a free event inspired by Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s amazing inventions.
There are a large collection of Brunel’s original sketches in the Brunel Institute’s archive; these include drawings of a horse he drew when he was six years old, early designs of the Clifton Suspension Bridge and horticultural plans for his garden.

The Big Draw event is being hosted by the Brunel Institute as part of the Family Arts Festival. Families can come along from 11am – 3pm on the day and be inspired by a selection of Brunel’s original sketches, then try their hand at creating their own amazing inventions.
Enjoy getting arty!
