
If you are a mum or dad looking for fun things to do with your kids in Bristol this weekend, this post should give you some ideas and inspiration!
There’s an open day at the centuries old Blaise Castle, Pyronaut boat rides on Bristol Harbour, not one but two Apple Days, miniature steam train rides at Ashton Court Railway and a free family run on the Kings Weston Estate to name just a few of the great events for children and families this weekend.

SATURDAY

Monthly cookery club for ages 8-14. Make a different recipe every month (no need to sign up for a term, just book the dates/recipes you’d like to come to).
The class takes place at Meals for Squeals cookery school in Coalpit Heath, Bristol. Award-winning cookery school, DBS (CRB) checked, food hygiene certification, accredited by Kallikids.
Today’s class will be making Mini Burgers with Salsa.

Taste apples from the Orchard, enjoy some merriment with the Pigsty Morris Dancers and some juice pressing, plus there will be home-made cakes, local produce and trees for sale.
You can find Horfield Organic Community Orchard either by taking lane between 134 – 136 Longmead Avenue until you reach last gate on the left. Or, you can access it by taking lane next to 22 Kings Drive, turn left and then go through first gate on the right.
