Jojo Beauty & Holistic Therapies, Bishopston: helping women feel like goddesses!

Today I had the pleasure of visiting Jojo Beauty & Holistic Therapies on Gloucester Road, Bishopston, and meeting the lovely owner, Joanne Tovey.

Jo opened her wonderful salon a year ago last September and it is beautiful inside: light, airy and modern with a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. Jo, herself, is warm and welcoming, and helped put me at ease as soon as I arrived.

Jojo’s Beauty salon offers a range of heavenly treatments including facials, luxury manicures and pedicures, gel nails, lash lift, reiki, reflexology and massage (Swedish and Hot Stone).

There is also a visiting nutritional therapist on Wednesdays, helping people reach optimal health through diet and lifestyle modifications, plus a hypnotherapist on Saturdays, who helps people with phobias, anxieties, addictions and much more.

None of the products which Jojo’s salon uses are tested on animals and there are also a wide range of vegan-friendly products, including Neal’s Yard Remedies for facials and The Gel Bottle for nails.

Jo is excited about what her salon offers to women in Bishopston and beyond. However, she explained to me that her salon is so much more than a beauty salon. Jo wants it to be a relaxing, safe space for women; one which they will feel better going out than when they come in.

Jo wants each woman to feel beautiful and on top of the world after they have enjoyed a wonderful treatment: like a real goddess!
