Inspiring and Exciting Bristol Women’s Voice Events: March 2025

Throughout March 2025, Bristol Women’s Voice will be holding some exciting and inspiring events for women in Bristol.

The charity, which aims to unite and empower all women across Bristol’s diverse communities and campaigns for women’s equality, organises regular events and activities to connect and celebrate women in Bristol.

Kicking off with an International Women’s Day event and after party on 8th March, events include lantern-making workshops, plus a lamplight procession for carers and parents. Please see below for details.

International Women’s Day at Bristol City Hall & AfterParty at Lost Horizon

Join Bristol Women’s Voice for a free event on Saturday 8th March from 10am – 5pm at Bristol City Hall. There’ll be more than 50 workshops, talks, performances, panel debates and other activities. Connect and celebrate with women and communities from all over Bristol. Everyone is welcome, free transport, creche, interpreting and accessibility support is available on the day. You can view the full programme on their website here.

In the evening, head down to Lost Horizon from 7PM for an International Women’s Day AfterParty (tickets are just £8) to dance the night away to the beats of women and non-binary led music collectives: Mothers in Music, Booty Bass and Femmes on Deck. Full lined-up available on Headfirst here.

Shine a Light on Care – A lamplight procession calling for carers and parents to be visible, valued and supported

On Saturday 22nd March from 6.30pm, there will be a lamplight procession calling for carers, parents and care to be visible, valued and supported. Part of Bristol Community Festival, Bristol Women’s Voice invite everyone to walk in solidarity, allyship and sisterhood to raise awareness of the importance and value of care in our lives. Supporters are needed to carry one of the 200+ lanterns & placards created by carers & caregivers who can’t join due to caring responsibilities, health, or mobility restrictions, including over 100 Carers Strike placards created through a project by The Invisible Army. If you would like to sign up and walk in solidarity, please register here: https://forms.office.com/e/nJcBEPcW8j
