New Chess Club for Children & Teens at Bedminster Library

From Monday 2nd June Bedminster Library will be launching an 8-week Chess Club for children and teens aged 8-17.

The club will take place on Mondays after school, and will be free. No booking is needed, however places are limited so spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

The Chess Club will be fun, creative, and support each person in understanding the basic rules of chess. Players will play in pairs with the Chess Club Volunteer Facilitator or another player of a similar age and/or skills and will share successes.

The course will teach children much more than just how to play chess, it will show them how to use strategic thinking and socialising with like-minded people.

For further information please contact the library at 0117 903 8529 or email bedminster.library@bristol.gov.uk.
