Pests & Weeds is a FREE creative animal tracking and plant foraging two-day workshop in Bristol.
Join artists Hermione Spriggs and Tamara Colchester in a two-day workshop for young people that explores the city from the perspective of urban creatures and plants.

With the Spike Island residency studio as your base, you will be setting out with a small group to explore the surrounding area and creatively tune in to more creaturely ways of life.

  • Share creative animal tracking techniques
  • Learn foraging skills
  • Explore the local urban environment
  • Creatively respond back in the Spike Island Residency Studio.

Please come prepared in suitable outdoor clothing, a waterproof in case of rain, and a packed lunch. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
This is a free event as part of Spike Island’s Ecotones engagement programme, curated by Florence Fitzgerald-Allsopp, and supported by Hauser and Wirth.
