This Easter, children and families are in for a treat with Arthur’s Dream Boat, a magical show with exciting and colourful puppets being performed at Circomedia, the centre for contemporary circus with physical theatre in Bristol.
Arthur’s Dream Boat is presented by Long Nosed Puppets, a children’s theatre company based in Brighton and founded in 2006. The company’s puppets are highly original and created from a variety of materials including old umbrella, wood, socks, latex and even the odd lampshade!
The music that will accompany the puppet show is by Tom Gray from the Mercury Award winning band Gomez.
Arthur’s Dream Boat is based on the wonderful book by Polly Dunbar and follows the story of a little boy named Arthur, who one night, has a dream about a wonderful pink and green boat with a stripy mast.
However, when he tells everyone about his dream no one is interested and they don’t even notice when the boat that he dreamed of starts growing on his head! Soon, Arthur is taken on exciting adventures as he crests the waves in his very own dream boat.
