Happy weekend everyone, it’s going to be a good one! There are lots of great events and activities for children and families in Bristol this weekend. Here’s the line-up:

Bristol International Balloon Fiesta: Ashton Court
- 6am Mass Ascent – ‘Breakfast and Balloons’
You can watch the hot air balloons take to the sky as the sun rises with a morning coffee and bacon sandwich in hand. Take in the serenity of an early morning surrounded by countryside as the balloons ascend into the bright blue sky - 6pm Mass Ascent
If early mornings are not your thing, why not join us for the day enjoying lunch or afternoon tea, in time to see flypasts and secure a good spot to watch the evening ascent as the balloons lift off over the City of Bristol.
Europe’s largest free annual hot air balloon event. Lots of activities to enjoy.
Sheep in the Cathedral: Bristol Cathedral

Wildlife Fun on the Farm: Lawrence Weston Community Farm

Bugs & Beasties & Other Things: Troopers Hill

Join the Friends of Troopers Hill on a bug hunt to find some of the Hill’s smallest inhabitants. Experts will be on hand to identify your finds and the Bristol Astronomical Society will also be there to do some solar observations.

Build a Wild Animal Home: Dyrham Park

Today the Bear Pit will be used as a space to promote the artwork of local Bristol based artists and to celebrate the fact that the Bear Pit supports people to make a living out of their creative talents.
