There are lots of Christmas fairs on this weekend, as well as the Totterdown Front Room Arts Festival, plus Andy Day from CBeebies will also be performing on Gloucester Road!

Science for Kids with Bill Bailey: Zion Community Art Space, Bedminster Down

Join Bill Bailey from ‘Adventures in Science’ for a morning of exploration and fun from flaming hands to rockets and icicles, Bill will inform and amaze with hands-on experiments for ages 4+. Café open from 10am, workshop aimed at ages 4-8 but all ages welcome.

Photograph your Christmas baby – A Makey Mamas Workshop
Saturday 21st November 10-11.30am
Led by a trained photographer, learn basic techniques to take great photos of your little one using whatever camera you have, whether it’s a mobile phone or an SLR! No previous camera skills necessary! The photos you take will make great framed presents or christmas cards
Workshop is half theory and half practical so bring your baby! Suitable for pre-crawling babies only.
You will receive:
Information and hand outs
Practical experience with feedback
Use of Christmassy props/ backdrops
Four weeks of follow up tips via text
Option to stay for 30 extra minutes and receive additional photography support (£3 extra)

The Totterdown Front Room Arts Festival 2015

The Front Room Arts Trail regularly attracts around 180 artists including dancers, musicians, singers, crafts people, fine artists, dramatists and even exciting local pop-up chefs. This all takes place in 60 different Front Rooms, street corners open spaces, pubs, cafés, church halls, cemeteries and shops across Totterdown.
This year the theme will be Hats so there will be lots of hat-related activities. The organisers are asking both artists and the public to wears hats of their choice, or to come and make a hat in the workshop and the join the hat parade through the woods down to the Mad Hatters Tea Party in Arno’s Vale Cemetery.

If you are a reuse and recycling fan with some creative imagination then come and join the Friends of Horfield Common on a local scavenger hunt to see what you can find to transform the wonderful new cafe container-space!
Suitable for 14 years+. Please wear clothes suitable for the weather, sturdy shoes and bring gloves if you have them. The scavenger hunt sets off at 12 noon. All welcome.
