Thursday 17th March will be the first in a series of new guided tours designed for parents and carers to explore art exhibitions in an environment that welcomes babies. At the tours parents and carers will be able to learn more about art and meet other people interested in doing the same!
The free tours will be led by Jane Porter, an art project manager and parent of two small children and will be held in different venues across the Bristol. The first three tours will be at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery (Queens Road, Bristol, BS8 1RL) and Arnolfini, (16 Narrow Quay, Bristol, BS1 4QA).
As you will know it can be hard to go and see things and to meet people you have more in common with than just babies and BYB helps people find out more about art and meet other people who share their interests.
The tours are free and run on a drop-in basis and will be best suited for parents or carers of under 1’s. Late arrivals will not be a problem! A buggy park and nappy changing facilities will be provided and all of the venues are fully accessible with lifts.
