I am really pleased to introduce ‘The Adventures of the Parsley Family and the Dancing Snails’, a wonderful new Children’s Book about a little girl names Trixie who takes an enchanting adventure with a family of Snail Guardians.

Written by father, grandfather and former Head Teacher, Michael Read, ‘The Adventures of the Parsley Family and the Dancing Snails’ invites young children to join Trixie and snails, Ella, Lizzy and their mum and dad as they embark on an adventure of dance, history, geography and food.

Trixie becomes their Snail Guardian to the snails and takes them on adventures they never thought possible. They learn how to dance, have picnics and mix with other groups from all over the world.

Michael Read has spent over three decades empowering children through his work as an educator and Head Teacher and he refuses to stay silent in his retirement.

In fact, he hasn’t even put down his pen, replacing book marking with his new passion for writing compelling and hugely entertaining children’s stories.

Michael explains:

“Every child loves a good book, but I became concerned at the shift in children’s fiction toward battles between good and evil, toilet humour and subjects that are less than innocent. 

“I felt it was time to create something that would hark back to a bygone era of storytelling; one where children could bask in the lighter side of life and learn a thing or two along the way. Hence, our family of snail guardians was born!”
