Bristol Playday 2016: A free event on College Green celebrating children’s right to play!

On the afternoon of Wednesday 3rd August, College Green will be turned into a giant cardboard construction site where kids can build anything they want!

The event is part of Bristol Playday 2016, a free annual event which celebrate children’s right to play, organised by the Bristol Play Network who run the event in partnership with Bristol City Council – Bristol Youth Links.

This year Bristol Play Network and Bristol Youth Links wanted to do something different on Bristol Playday, something that could capture people’s imagination and inspire children and adults to go away and think differently about play…

They therefore decided Bristol Playday 2016 should be a celebration of cardboard construction!

All the focus will be on playing with a huge quantity of cardboard, one activity for everyone to get involved in, and families being creative and constructing something amazing in the heart of Bristol.

There will be plenty of boxes to climb in, crawl through, or to build a giant cardboard tower!

Bristol Playday 2016 will take place from 12 – 4pm, Wednesday 3rd August on College Green in front of the Council House.

So why not bring a picnic and help build a better city for play with the Bristol Play Network!
