On Saturday 10th September children and families can enjoy some traditional butter-making at the centuries-old Blaise Dairy in Henbury.
Part of Bristol Doors Open Day, this free event will give families the chance to see butter churned by hand in the original tiled milk room of the Dairy, have a taste and even try one of the more unusual flavoured butters.
All are welcome to try making their own butter to take home and children are invited to dress up as dairy maids and farm hands!
The Dairy’s garden will also be open, which has a grassed amphitheatre and historic trees and plants, and families can also explore the Victorian kitchen garden.
The event will take place from 10am – 4pm and families can drop-in to take part at any time.
You can find Blaise Dairy on the Blaise Castle Estate, Henbury, BS10 7QS.
