One of the wonderful delights which Autumn brings is apples and on Saturday 15th October there is an event at Boiling Wells to celebrate!
Apple Day will be taking place at Boiling Wells – part of St Werburgh’s City Farm – from 12 – 5pm and there will be lots of apple-related activities for both children and adults.
One such apple-type activity will be apple tasting and there will be several delicious varieties to sample.
These include the Egremont Russet which has a nutty flavour, the Worcester Pearmain apple which sometimes has a strawberry flavour and the Pitmaston Pineapple whish has an unusual flavour reminiscent of pineapples!
Children will also be able to try their hand at apple pressing – please bring apples and containers with you!
There will also be some fantastic storytelling and face painting to entertain them, plus Boiling Wells offer plenty of wonderful green space to enjoy too.
There will be great local live music to add to the merry atmosphere and delicious hot food to keep the Autumn chills at bay. Plus there will be mulled cider on offer for the grown-ups!
Entry is £5 per adults, £2 for teens and kids go free.
You can find Boiling Wells at St Werburgh’s City Farm, Watercress Road, BS2 9YJ.
