I am really pleased to introduce Toyville, a fantastic new independent and family-run toy shop on North Street in Bedminster!
Toyville has been opened by local parents, Joel and Lindsay Meyer-Nicholas and offers a wide range of toys and games for babies and children of all ages.
Toys include animals and dinosaurs, bath toys, construction, wooden toys, soft toys, educational toys and games, toys and tools for creative play and pretend play, puzzles, magnetic activities, vehicles, classic toys, outdoor toys and many more quality toys.
One of the things that makes Toyville different from other toy shops is that lots of the toys are open for children to try out such as a tool bench, train table, kitchen, a garage and cars!
Lindsay and Joel also welcome parents and children to take a seat at the shop’s large table to try out a new card or board game.
Lindsay and Joel launched Toyville earlier this year as they realised there was a real lack of interesting and different quality toys available near their home town of south Bristol.
After having difficulty in finding the ideal premises in this area, Joel and Lindsay first launched online offering free delivery in Bristol.
And when the perfect premises came up in their preferred location of North Street – once the much-loved café Bubbahub – Lindsay and Joel decided to launch the Toyville toy shop!
Toyville’s toys and games cover a range of price points to suit everyone, including a huge choice of small birthday gifts and pocket-money toys to those toys for special occasions.
Brands that are stocked at Toyville include Playmobil, Indigo Jamm, Lanka Kade, BRIO and Pokemon cards to mention but a few.
Lindsay and Joel make a point of stocking toys that they themselves would buy, plus ones that are made by manufacturers with a high regard for the environment and comply with the ICTI CARE process on ethical manufacturing.
Many of the toys that stocked at Toyville are tried and tested by Lindsay and Joel’s Chief Toy Tester: their young son, Xander!
Since Toyville’s opening, Bajo is proving to be very popular due to its quality and brilliant design and Magformers looks set to be one of the most popular gifts this Christmas.
North Street is a wonderful location for families and comprises many other family-friendly shops and businesses such as the Hungry Caterpillar Play Café, Margot May Tearoom, Rhubarb Jumble, North St Standard, plus the newly opened Friendly Records and Earth Cakes.
Toyville is open Monday – Saturday but in the run-up to Christmas it will be open every day of the week with late night shopping on Thursdays!
And if you are not from the area but fancy doing some Christmas shopping online you can visit Toyville’s online shop at toyvilleshop.co.uk.
You can also find Toyville on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
