This Christmas season there will be lots of fantastic free festive fun for children and families in Bedminster. There will be beautiful Christmas installations, Father Christmas and his reindeer, an Elf Takeover and even falling snow!
The festive fun will begin on Friday 25th November with ‘snowflakes’ falling over Bedminster’s North Street Green from 5.30 – 7pm.
The streets of Bedminster will be decorated with wonderful Christmas installations and there will also be a giant snowman in Caraboo Square and snowflakes on West Street, too.
Bedminster will also be taken over by elves, with an Elf Village on North Street Green!
There you will find several elf-made properties; including Santa’s workshops, the Elf Inn Hotel and the Elf and Safety Office.
Children of all ages will be able to send their letters to Father Christmas using the North Pole post box which appeared on North Street Green earlier this week.
And, on Saturday 26th November at the East Street Christmas Market children can visit Father Christmas in person at Santa’s Grotto, plus meet his reindeer, too!
At the East Street Christmas Market there will also be live arts and crafts with the brilliant Colourful Minds where your children can enjoy making snowflakes to adorn your home. Plus there will be music, street markets and lots of festive entertainment to add to the fun!
The project is being run by the Bedminster Business Improvement District, artist Russ Henry of Hot Soup House and for the first time this year, artists, traders such as Upfest, Margot May, Let’s Make Art and the community of Bedminster all took part in the festive installations by hosting snowflake sessions; workshops to decorate snowflakes that will be displayed on the North Street Green Christmas tree and a row of lights on West Street.
Snow will be falling in Bedminster on the following dates:
North Street Green, 25th November, 5.30 – 7pm
East Street Christmas Fair, 26th November, 11-3pm
North Street Green Christmas event, 3rd December
