A ‘Wild Weekend’ of Free Family Activities with Avon Wildlife Trust: Saturday 25 & Sunday 26th March

On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th March Avon Wildlife Trust is holding a ‘Wild Weekend’ of free activities for children and families!

On Saturday there will be a birthday party being held to celebrate Feed Bristol’s 5th birthday and Sunday is, of course, Mothering Sunday so there will be a Mothering Funday event.

Avon Wildlife Trust is the largest local charity which protects wildlife and inspire people and the Wild Weekend is just one of many free events held throughout the year.

Both of the events being held this weekend are free to enjoy and open to all. More details are below…

Saturday 25th March

5th Birthday Party

12 – 5pm, Feed Bristol, Stapleton, BS16 1HB

An event being held to celebrate Feed Bristol’s 5th birthday party, there are lots of fantastic free activities for children and families to enjoy.

Live music from four different bands, children’s activities, walks, talks, workshops, plus there will be delicious fresh seasonal food available which has been harvested on site.

Sunday 26th March

Mothering Funday

1 – 4pm, Avon Gorge BS9 1RQ

Celebrating Mother’s Day, this Mothering Funday will be ideal for nature-loving Bristol mums!

The event is being held in Avon Wildlife Trust’s People’s Nature Reserve, Bennett’s Patch and White’s open day and will give children and grown-ups the chance to get outside in the Great Outdoors for some fun activities.

There will be pond dipping and other children’s wild play activities to enjoy, plus you can marvel at moths and learn how a moth trap works. There will also be Mother’s Day gifts to make and buy.
