On Saturday 9th September a new term of affordable Saturday Drama Classes for children aged 7 – 12 with Bristol Academy of Drama will start in Bristol.

Classes will take place from 9 – 11am each Saturday in term-time at 1532 Performing Arts Centre, Elton Road, BS8 1SR.

The Academy’s team of facilitators work with students on their team work and confidence skills through drama games, plus teach them about the many different theatre styles.  Their focus is not on the musical theatre genre and performances will involve classic stories which are specially written for the Academy.

Students will also rehearse for a specially written version of James and the Giant Peach which will be performed on Sat 20th January in the wonderful 1532 PAC Theatre for family and friends.  The chance for the students to perform in such a professional arts space will be a real inspiration and a unforgettable experience.  Following this performance, student will then work towards a summer show to be held in early July.

The new term of Saturday drama classes will take place on these dates:

9 Sept, 16 Sept, 23 Sept, 30 Sept, 7 Oct, 14 Oct, 11 Nov, 18 Nov, 25 Nov, 2 Dec & 9 Dec.

A term’s lessons cost £150 which equates to only £7.50 per hour.  Free trial sessions are available.
