New Debutots Storytelling & Dramatic Play Sessions for 0-4s in Thornbury

Parents and carers of young children in Thornbury will be pleased to hear that some exciting new storytelling and dramatic play classes are starting in the New Year.

The weekly Debutots classes are for little ones aged from 6 months – 4 years and will include interactive storytelling, music, puppets and bubbles and dramatic play.

Each week little ones will enter a wonderful story world, and their powerful imaginations will bring the characters and scenery to life!

Kicking off the New Year the Debutots sessions will explore Tales in Toyland – Will Dizzy Dolly ever find her way home? Will Rusty Robot learn to not be afraid of the dark?

Then in the ‘People Who Help Us’ topic block, your little one will be off to deliver some Snail Mail with Postman Sadiq the Snail; they’ll imagine they’re a tiger with a toothache who needs the dentist…..ROARRR! And just how can a fairy nurse help an injured pixie?

The fun activities will be followed by tea/coffee and sweet treats, giving parents and carers a chance to chat and get to know other local parents.

Debutots classes are held by the friendly and very talented Geri McKenna, who has been formally trained in drama and who also holds Debutots classes in Totterdown and Emersons Green.

Debutots classes help develop children’s communication, cognitive skills and confidence, plus also grow a child’s positive sense of themselves and others.

Classes will also be perfect for siblings and friends!

The classes start on Friday 5th January at Turnberries Community Centre on Bath Road, Thornbury and cost £31.25 for five sessions (£6.25 per session).
