Free Events For Kids: Easter Bank Holiday Weekend 2018

This Easter Bank Holiday Weekend 2018 there are lots of free (or very cheap) events for kids in Bristol to enjoy!

From Friday 30th March to Monday 2nd April, free/cheap events include an outdoor film screening of The Lion King, lots of Easter Egg Hunts, exotic animal handling, miniature steam train rides, the chance to explore a real castle, arty crafty fun and more!

FRIDAY 30th MARCH

Easter Bunny Trail on Gloucester Road
There are 12 Easter bunnies hiding in the shops on and around Gloucester Road – find them and claim a chocolate treat! Collect an entry form from Bishopston Library on Gloucester Road or Totally Toys at 109 Gloucester Road, BS7 8AT. Or, download an entry form from www.bristolsindependentdistrict.co.uk.

Find all Easter bunnies, write down their names on your entry form and claim your Easter treat from Scrumptiously Sweet at 83 Gloucester Road, BS7 8AS.

Tudor Times LEGO Brick Exhibition: The Galleries
Free LEGO brick exhibition at The Galleries which brings to life some of the Tudor era that changed the face of Britain with a huge model of Hever Castle, Anne Boleyn’s childhood home, Shakespeare’s Globe and a sculpture of Henry VIII.

Flamboyant Flamingo Trail: Broadmead & Cabot Circus
A free trail of beautiful flamingos which will be displayed in shop windows until 7th April. Pick up a free trail map from The New Room, Specsavers or Barber Brown. If you find all of the hidden flamingos there are chocolate prizes for your children to collect!

Easter Egg Hunt: Kings Weston House
A free annual Easter Egg Hunt at Kings Weston running until 8th April. Collect your map from the café, take the trail around the grounds, find the secret code and make your way back to the café to collect your egg!

Egg-citing Easter Trail: Wapping Wharf
A free Easter trail running until 8th April. Families can collect activity sheets from The Bristol Cheesemonger (or Better Food on Mondays), and hunt for brightly-decorated cut-out eggs in the shop windows of Wapping Wharf, both along Gaol Ferry Steps and within Cargo.

Children need to pay close attention to the letters on the eggs to crack the code and spell out an Easter-themed sentence!

Easter Egg Hunt: Almondsbury Sports & Social Club
A free Easter egg hunt – all invited! Each child will also receive a raffle ticket to win a “Golden Egg Hamper” which contains a prize for the winning child’s parent(s). So come and enjoy a fun hour finding Easter eggs!

The Grand Pier Easter Egg-venture: Weston-Super-Mare
