Due to popular demand, Bristol Academy of Drama will now be offering Saturday afternoon drama classes for children aged 7-12 in addition to their Saturday morning classes (morning classes are currently full though there is a waiting list).
The new term of Saturday afternoon drama classes begins from Saturday 14th April and will comprise of a 10-week term.
Bristol Academy of Drama has been delighted with the success of the first productions which took place in the Spring term. Since September, children have made wonderful new friendships, grown so much in confidence and have loved working towards the performance in such a professional space!
The aim at Bristol Academy of Drama (BAD) is to bring the power of drama to children, through the medium of theatre and build on confidence, friendships and creative learning skills.
All genres of theatre are focussed on, from physical theatre to mask work, stage combat to shadow theatre.
The fun of drama games is enjoyed as well as rehearsing for a full production, written by BAD’s own Writer in Residence, at the wonderful 1532 performing Arts Centre in BS8.
A number of free taster sessions are available for each class so do get in touch if you wish to book one for your son or daughter.

Local Parent reviews of Bristol Academy of Drama:
“This drama group run by Claire and her team are just fab. You have to prise your child away at the end of each session due to the fun they are constantly having. The shows are brilliantly orchestrated and wonderful!”
“May attended her first session last weekend and just loved every minute of it. Claire had May captivated from the off and she enjoyed the games, role play and meeting the other children. May can’t wait to be part of the play being performed in January and what a venue to perform in! “
