The Little Acorns Nursery at Badminton Junior School in Westbury-on-Trym is a melting pot of fun, adventure, learning and development.
Girls from the age of three start their exciting educational journey with books and stories, first encounters with Science, exploring nature, imaginative play and creative activities.
Being situated on the same site as Badminton Junior and Senior School brings with it a multitude of benefits and unrivalled access to extensive facilities.
These include an onsite swimming pool which the girls in Little Acorns make the most of with swimming lessons twice a week (at no additional cost!), music facilities and a private, outdoor adventure playground called the ‘Rough Patch’ where the Little Acorns enjoy break times exploring and playing.
Every Friday the Little Acorns take learning outside. They put on their special kit and wellies and visit the large, secure, onsite Forest School and engage with nature, enjoying fun (and usually quite messy!) activities.
Genuinely small class sizes of no more than 16 children in a session, allows the specialist teachers and staff at the Little Acorns to provide premium pastoral care. This was reflected in their recent inspection which described the Nursery as “Excellent” in every area.
Alongside this, the prestigious ‘Bristol Standard’ was awarded to the Little Acorns in March 2018 to reflect their commitment to continually improving their Early Years provision through active and on-going self-assessment.
There’s so much to see and experience at the Little Acorns Nursery that it is fully recommended parents pay a visit, with or without their daughter, to really understand why it is such a special gem, buried in the beautiful outskirts of Bristol.
