On Saturday 16th June there will be a family fun day in St George celebrating Czechoslovakia’s 100 years of independence.
Czechoslovak Day will take place in St George’s Park, Community Centre and Library and has been organised by Stonozka, a non-profit Czech and Slovak organisation in Bristol.
There will be a craft fair by Czech and Slovak artists, Czech and Slovak music performances and performances and an exhibition of pupils’ work from the Czech & Slovak School in Bristol.
There will also be a “Learn About Our Countries” activity for children and adults, a great learning opportunity.
Plus, there’ll be a barbeque and the opportunity to sample some tasty Czech food!
Kids’ activities include a bouncy castle, live music, Lime tree planting (Czechoslovakia’s national tree) and candy floss.
The event starts at 1pm – no need to book, just turn up and have fun!
