On Saturday 28th July children can become archaeologists for the day at Bristol’s Brilliant Archaeology event at Blaise Castle Estate, Henbury.
A free event, there will be lots of archaeology-themed fun including mini excavations, a Roman feast, demonstrations, displays, tours, dressing-up and crafts!
Field archaeologists, re-enactors and heritage organisations will be on hand at the event, sharing their archaeological knowledge with children and families.
Bristol’s Brilliant Archaeology takes place from 11am – 4pm and runs on a drop-in basis. The event is free (donations welcome).
The activities will take place across Blaise Castle House Museum, Blaise Community Garden and at Blaise Castle, all of which are great to explore with kids. Why not make a day of it and bring a picnic?!
Find Blaise Castle Estate on Henbury Road, BS10 7QS.
