The daffodils are blooming, the trees are budding, the birds are singing and the Great Bristol Spring Clean 2019 is nearly upon us!
Taking place from 22nd March – 23rd April, the annual litter picking event is held in support of Mayor Marvin Rees’ Bristol Clean Streets campaign and Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean.
Last year, 400 volunteers took to the roads, lanes, gardens and parks in 32 separate events all over Bristol.
A total of 400 bags of rubbish and recycling were litter picked from Knowle to Horfield and everywhere in between!
If you and your children would like to take part in the Great Bristol Spring Clean 2019 and join thousands of others in making a positive difference to our streets, parks and communities, you can reserve a free litter picking pack to do so.
Your litter picking pack will include the following:
- litter picking sticks
- high visibility tabards
- bags for collecting recycling or waste
- hoops to help keep your bags open
Bristol Waste Company will come and take the waste you collect away for free!
