Introducing ‘Wild World Heroes’, a free summer activity for kids at Bristol Libraries

With the summer hols looming, you might be pleased to hear that a free activity for kids will be taking place at libraries across Bristol and beyond this summer!

A free, annual activity, the Summer Reading Challenge is organised by the Reading Agency and is for all kids aged 4-11 years of age.

The aim is to keep kids reading throughout the holidays, and there are fun incentives such as stickers along the way, plus a certificate once your child has completed the challenge!

All kids need to do is read 6 library books over the summer (or have 6 books read to them).

This year the Reading Agency has teamed up with the World Wildlife Fund, for a special nature-themed Challenge called ‘Wild World Heroes’ that will inspire them to stand up for the planet!

Kids will journey to Wilderville, where the Wild World Heroes are learning how to make their town a cleaner, greener place for the people and wildlife that live there.

As kids read books for the Challenge, there’ll go exploring all over Wilderville, from the woods to the farm and even the beach!
