Would you like to introduce your baby or toddler to books through a weekly story and sensory adventure?

Adventure Babies classes take little ones aged 0-18 months on weekly adventures by bringing brilliant books to life and helping them to fall in love with books and reading.

Sessions also include great sensory messy play activities for them to enjoy without you having to clear up afterwards!

A new 6-week term of Adventure Babies is due to start in September, with classes in Clifton, Patchway, Easton, and Draycott.

Adventure Babies sessions are split into different age groups to meet the needs of babies who are different ages.

For example, younger babies need a quieter, calmer reading environment with things to hear, see and feel; they are also busy developing their core strength.

However, older, more mobile Adventure Babies take more of an active role in the story through babbling, pointing, repeating sounds and developing their coordination and fine motor skills through messy play and other group sensory activities.

Reading aloud to your baby in the first few months and beyond so that your baby can hear rhyming words, and strong rhythms will create brain connections that positively affect your baby’s language development.

The association of books with love, comfort and enjoyment will last a lifetime and children who read for pleasure are higher achievers than those who don’t so come and enjoy a reading adventure which positively stimulates all of the senses.

Each session also includes some time for babies and their parents/carers to chat and make new friends.

The award-winning classes are organised by Gemma Townsend, who has many years experience as an Early Years teacher, and who is also a mum.

A 6-week term of Adventure Babies is £48 – £52.50 and all babies and toddlers, along with their parents/carers, are welcome along.
