Excalibur Academies Trust is celebrating a strong set of A-Level and vocational results across its Post-16 provision, with several schools reporting improved performance and encouraging progress measures.

The results reflect the hard work of students and staff, as well as the support provided by sixth-form teams as young people prepare for university, apprenticeships, employment and other next steps.

Ashton Park School, Bristol

Students at Ashton Park are celebrating another strong year of sixth-form results, with the vast majority securing their preferred next steps.

Eleven students achieved outstanding value-added scores, with students progressing to a wide range of destinations, including the University of Minnesota and Bristol Rovers Community Trust/Foundation.

Ashton Sixth welcomes students from a wide range of backgrounds and starting points, with a focus on providing an inclusive and supportive sixth-form experience.

Vocational results were particularly positive, with BTEC qualifications achieving a 100% pass rate and many students achieving Distinction or Distinction* grades.

Redland Green School, Bristol

Redland Green School is also celebrating a strong set of academic results, with its provisional value-added score for academic qualifications expected to place the school significantly above the national standard when the Department for Education’s IDSR is published.

Among the results, 38 students achieved all A or A* grades, including 12 students who achieved all A or equivalent grades. A further 50 students achieved an average grade of A or above, reflecting consistently strong academic performance across the cohort.

The results reflect the work of students and staff and the school’s continued focus on supporting students to achieve well and progress to their chosen destinations.

Improved provisional progress measures, stronger attainment and positive student destinations reflect the sustained work taking place to raise standards and give students the support and opportunities they need to succeed.

“While results day is an important opportunity to celebrate academic achievement, we are equally proud of the range of destinations secured by our Year 13 students. Whether progressing to university, higher apprenticeships, employment or other specialist pathways, students are moving on with the knowledge, skills and confidence to take their next steps.”
