If you are looking for things to do with your children in Bristol this weekend, there are lots of fun events planned. There’s a free open day at Horse World, miniature steam train rides at Ashton Court Railway, free arts and crafts at Arnolfini, lots of summer fairs, a great NCT nearly new sale, plus much more.

Armed Forces Day begins with a parade along the High Street finishing at the park where there will be entertainment, stalls and food.

NCT Summer Sale: City of Bristol College, Ashley Down
If you are after some bargain baby and toddler items, the NCT Summer Nearly New Sale will have more than 4000 baby items on sale at a fraction of the original price!

Brunel Field School Summer Fair

An opportunity to see what goes on at HorseWorld’s Welfare Department which is not normally open to the public. Felix, will be meeting and greeting his admirers and Joey, the young foal rescued from a freezing, muddy ditch in February is now fit and healthy enough for you to meet.
Those who adopt HorseWorld animals will be able to see them and there will be set talks and tours throughout the day. If you don’t already adopt an animal, there will be the opportunity to do so.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service will be performing a demonstration rescuing a horse from a ditch using their full size model horse “Woody” and there will also be tractor tours (small charge applies).

Basic First Aid for Babies & Toddlers: Easton Community Centre
Learn how to provide first aid to your child in an emergency. A first aid course suitable for parents, grandparents, guardians or anyone who wants to learn emergency first aid responses for children.

Summer Fair at Christ Church C of E School, Clifton
Come along to Christ Church C of E School to experience all the fun of the fair, including a bungee trampoline, chair-o-planes ride, coconut shy, candy floss, traditional games, BBQ, tea and cake and much more besides! All money raised will go to the PTA and be re-invested in resources for the pupils.
