On Saturday 24th September it will be Windmill Hill City Farm’s 40th Birthday and there will be a big celebration day to mark the occasion!

The event runs from 11am – 5pm and all children and families are welcome to come along and enjoy the fun.

There will be live music from local bands, delicious food, a barbecue, nature activities,  interactive theatre, a human jukebox, outdoor games, welly wanging, story tours, singalongs, campfire cooking, and even birthday cake!

There will be plenty of fun for children at the event, too. Kids’ activities include campfire cooking, a wood-cutting session from the APE Project, a ‘foody’ themed puppet show and storytelling, singalongs with the fabulous Poco Drom, live screen printing and a giant outdoor games field with prizes, too!

Windmill Hill City farm was set up by volunteers in 1976 with the aim of transforming a piece of inner city wasteland into something more productive for the local community to enjoy.

The farm is now a wonderful place for all ages to enjoy and offers a great day out which is free and family-friendly. There are animals to see and feed, art and craft activities throughout the year, an award-winning café, support groups and much more.

Come and join in the fun this Saturday, 11am – 5pm. Adult entry is £3, children go free.

You can find Windmill Hill City Farm on Philip Street, Bedminster, BS3 4EA.
