On Saturday 10th December there will be a free event at the Red Lodge Museum for children and families to experience an Elizabethan Christmas.
There will be Elizabethan decorations, food and music at the museum, all adding to the festive atmosphere of what Christmas was like 400 years ago.
There will also be Christmas craft activities to enjoy. The Bristol Embroiderers’ Guild will be assisting Children and families to make stitched Elizabethan Christmas decorations using beautiful materials such as beads, buttons and ribbons.
The event runs from 11am – 3pm and families can drop-in when convenient – no booking is required. Donations are welcomed at the museum on a pay what you think basis.
The Red Lodge Museum is situated on Park Row BS1 5LJ.
