Free Bordeaux-Themed Art & Craft Workshop for Kids at Hillfields Library: Saturday 24th June

On Saturday 24th June 11am – 1pm there will be a free Bordeaux themed art and craft workshop at Hillfields Library with Colourful Minds.

This free event is just one of several events organised by the Bristol Bordeaux Partnership and Bristol Libraries along with Colourful Minds to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Bristol and Bordeaux’s twinning in 1947.

This was the first Anglo-French city partnership and since this time over 350 cities, towns and villages have followed Bristol’s pioneering example.

The Bordeaux themed art and craft workshop will be ideal for children aged between 4 – 11 years of age.

Children will be able to make their own Legion d’Honneur cardboard medals, create their own colourful stained glass windows inspired by Bordeaux Artists and make their own Bordeaux flag colourful shadow puppets.

Colourful Minds is the creation of Laura Humpage who offers Colourful Minds after-school, pre-school and holiday club sessions and birthday parties in Bristol, plus art, craft, science and baking ideas on her website.

Laura is super-creative and everything that she does is her own. She doesn’t use ready-made templates or kits in her workshops but instead designs, tests, makes and prepares the materials and activities herself.

This is a free event and no booking is required – simply drop-in. Hillfields Library is on Summerleaze, Speedwell, BS16 4HL.
