Fairy Tales & Giant Adventures at The Goram Fair: Saturday 9th September

On Saturday 9th September at Blaise Castle Estate there will be a Goram Fair celebrating the legend of Goram, Bristol’s very own giant.

The free event offers fairy tales and giant adventures and will be ideal for children aged 5 – 7, however all ages are welcome!

Children and families can go on an adventure through the woods to find Goram’s stone chair and bath tub carved into the cliffs of Blaise Castle estate, plus discover his giant footsteps.

There will be fairy doors hidden around Blaise Castle House Museum for children to discover from 10am – 5pm, crafty activities, plus a vintage fun fair with a special Dragon Coaster!

The amphitheatre and dairy garden at Blaise will be full of fun for everyone including puppet shows, performances and storytelling.

There will also be a Dog and Duck Display using volunteers from the audience using sheepdogs to herd ducks around an obstacle course!

Plus children can become giants themselves for the day!

The Blaise Community Garden will be open to explore and see what’s growing there, and children can also enjoy making some Goram vegetable creations! Tea and delicious cakes will be served there to sustain you on your Giant Adventures!

The Goram Fair is Saturday 9th September, 10am – 6pm so drop-in at any time to enjoy any of the above activities. Blaise Castle Estate is on Henbury Road, Henbury BS10 7QS.

The event is free admission, however donations are welcome.
