Free Donkey Rides, Bouncy Castles & Fun at Picnic in the Park 2017, St Werburghs: Sunday 3rd September

On Sunday 3rd September 1 – 5pm there will be a free family festival in Mina Road Park in St Werburghs with lots of free fun for children and adults alike.

Picnic in the Park 2017 has been organised by St Werburghs Centre and includes 4 zones of fun to suit all ages and interests!

Children’s Zone: Free donkey rides, a flower crown workshop, storytelling, face painting, a circus skills workshop, 3D map making workshop of the local area, bouncy castles and art workshops!

Entertainment Zone: Lots of live music, Brazilian dancing, Flamenco, African drumming and more!

Youth: Free workshops including street dancing, graffiti, traditional shaolin martial arts and hoola hooping.

Wellbeing: Free workshops and taster sessions such as ki energy, oi gong, om chanting, massage and more.

Freshly cooked food will be available and there will also be a bar, plus the community centre’s café on Horley Road will be open serving drinks and snacks, with a Curry stand, BBQ, pastries and cakes.

There will also be lots of picnic and café seating areas.

The Picnic in the Park will also be a great place to grab a bargain or two as there will be a wide variety of stalls selling jewellery, books, clothes and vinyl records.
