Butter Making, Apple Pressing & Magic Potion Making: Windmill Hill City Farm Autumn Fair

On Saturday 7th October Windmill Hill City Farm will be holding their annual Autumn Fair and aiming to inspire and delight local people, with a wide range of exciting things to see and do!

There will be a great line-up of local bands and musicians, a barbecue and bar, a host of activities, crafts and games and a fantastic market, selling local products.

All this in the farm’s beautiful green site in the heart of Bemmie!

Children will be able to get involved in traditional butter making and apple pressing in the farm’s ‘Old Dairy’, as well as magic potion making and mud sculpting in the community gardens.

Families will enjoy cooking demonstrations in the outdoor kitchen, where Kalpna Woolf, from 91 Ways, will be cooking up recipes from her new book.

If you fancied a bit of a shop, there will be a market selling beautiful locally made items, as well as both the farm shop and greenhouse stalls keeping you well stocked up.

Other exciting activities will include a mobile pottery studio where you can sculpt your own creations from clay, a campfire cookout with the Ape Project and not forgetting a visit to the farm’s new 6ft Stick Man figure and trail.

The farm café will be providing a tempting menu of locally-sourced seasonal treats, and over on Farmer Tim’s BBQ you will find burgers made from the farm’s own ethical Rose Veal.

There will also be a bar serving local ales, beer and wine – a perfect accompaniment to an afternoon of live music from local musicians!

All are welcome to come along to the farm’s Autumn Fair on Saturday 7th October 11am – 5pm.
