Introducing New Children’s Book, ‘Terror at the Sweet Shop’

I am really pleased to introduce brand new children’s book, Terror at the Sweet Shop written by Lawrence Prestidge.

Aimed at 7-11 year olds, the book has already proved so popular it is already on its second print run after selling three-thousand copies in its first year!

From Newcastle to Oxford, the story of sweet shop sabotage is gripping. It is the second book by freelance Drama teacher and author Lawrence Prestidge, and follows on from the success of his debut novel Rolo (Matador 2016).

As regulars of McNulty’s Candy Kingdom, there is nothing Oscar Tarrant and his friends Emma, Reece and Ishy like to do more, than visit after school. Run by its jolly namesake, Mr McNulty – the children are shocked when one day he mysteriously disappears.

Replaced by the horrible Miss Primrose, the four friends now have to find out what has happened to Mr McNulty and see how they can stop Miss Primrose from serving revolting, stomach-churning treats.

What follows is an adventure of good versus evil as they discover surprises and secrets as they try to thwart the evil intentions of Miss Primrose.

Can Oscar and his friends outsmart the new sweet shop owner to restore their favourite place to visit after school?
