Puppetry in Performance Kids’ Workshop at Kelvin Players Studio, Bishopston: Monday 26th March

On Monday 26th March there is a one-day Puppetry in Performance children’s workshop in glove puppetry fabrication and performance.

Organised by Bristol Academy of Drama in collaboration with Monkey Trousers Theatre, the workshop will be a wonderful Easter holiday activity for ages 7-12 years.

Children will make their own hand puppet out of fabric, foam and all sorts using traditional puppetry techniques as seen in The Muppets and The Furchester Hotel and then learn how to bring it to life.

They will then learn puppetry skills such as lip syncing, eye contact and basic body language techniques which they will then show off to parents and other family members in a fantastic final performance!

And, at the end of the day kids can take their puppet home to make some puppet shows of their own.

The workshop will take place between 10am to 4.30pm and will be held at the Kelvin Players Studio Theatre at 253b Gloucester Road, BS7 8NY.

Pre-booking is essential for this workshop as places are limited. Tickets are priced £40 and are on sale now (booking fee applies, price includes all materials for puppet making).

Participants must bring a packed lunch. The final performance will start at 4pm.
