A couple of weeks ago my daughter and I foraged for blackberries in Golden Hill, Bristol. We then made our first ever jam, adding some plums from our garden and raspberries in the fridge! You can see the photos on the Bishopston Mum facebook page here.
We made jam tarts and also had enough jam for breakfast for the next few days!
Making basic jam is simple, here’s the recipe and instructions:
Fruits of your choice
1. Chop fruit into small pieces, add to pan and start to gently boil
2. Use potato masher to crush fruit
2. Add a little lemon juice and sugar to taste and gently boil for about 20 mins
4. Leave jam to cool
5. Use your jam for tarts or toast in the morning!
