There are just five days left of the Blonde Angel Street Team’s 2020 Christmas appeal for homeless people in Bristol.
The volunteers of the Blonde Angel Street Team – whose common goal is to help homeless people on the streets – are asking for kind donations of gift boxes, bags and stockings, which they will give to homeless people in Bristol this Christmas.
The group is asking people to wrap or decorate their box, stocking or bag, include a Christmas card, and write on the label/tag whether it is for a man or a woman, and if appropriate, what clothing size. The deadline for donating your gifts is this Friday 11th December.
Here are some ideas for the contents:
Woolly hat, scarf, gloves, thermals, new undies or socks
Face mask, hand sanitiser
Small torch and battery
Baby wipes, toiletries
Chocolates, sweets, snacks, pot noodle, hot choc sachet, other Christmas treat foods,
Notebook, pen, small game, small book
Gift card for warm food or hot drink or food shop
Christmas card with a warm message, decoration
The Blonde Angel Street Team regularly collect and distribute kindly donated essential supplies throughout the year at a bi-weekly drop at College Green, which includes include hot food, hot drinks, snacks, toiletries, clothing, bags and other essentials.
In addition to the drop day a fantastic mobile team also covers the Waterfront and Broadmead areas for those not able to attend College Green.
The group also caters for shelters and newly housed people needing essential supplies, plus offers a bi-weekly soup night outside the Marriott Hotel, College Green.
