The Big Garden Birdwatch: A free January nature activity for your children

This month the RSPB will be holding its annual Big Garden Birdwatch and you and your children are invited to take part!

The Big Garden Birdwatch will take place between Friday 29th – Sunday 31st January and is the world’s largest wildlife survey.

You and your children can enjoy an hour with nature and discover the wildlife on your doorstep, whether it’s in your garden, from your balcony or in your local park.

Robins, blackbirds, goldfinches or bluetits, you never know what birds you might see!

All you need to do is register through the RSPB website and spend an hour counting the birds you see in your garden, then tell the RSPB what you saw. It really is that simple!

Experts will also bring you photos, footage and facts about birds, and answer any questions you and your children may have.  There’ll also be live quizzes, fun bird-related facts to learn and familiar faces throughout the weekend!
