Bristol is the home of trails; there was the Gorilla trail, the Gromit trail now there is the Makey Mamas Mini Bootie trail!
40 pairs of tiny baby booties will be hidden across the city for folk to find during the Mini Bootie Trail. Running from today (Saturday 24 January) until Saturday 14 February, the trail has been organised by Makey Mamas, who offers creative workshops for pregnant women and mums of young babies.
The wool and sheepskin booties measure a very cute 1.5 inches and were all made from scrap fabrics by women who’ve attended previous bootie making workshops. When the trail ends they will be donated to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for premature babies at Southmead Hospital.
The booties will be hung up across Bristol, from lampposts and landmarks to shops and cafes.
Follow the mini bootie map via www.makeymamas.co.uk or if you see a pair of booties on your travels, then send in a photo of you with the booties to:
Each and every photo will be an entry into the prize draw.
There will also be a virtual treasure hunt. From 24th Jan to 1st Feb a treasure hunt clue will be revealed each night on Facebook. Each correct guess will be an entry into the prize draw.
