From September 2017, Redmaids’ High School, comprising the former Redland High School for Girls and the Red Maids’ School, will provide all-through education on site at Westbury-on-Trym, for girls aged 4 to 18.

Despite being the oldest independent girls’ day school in the country founded in 1634, this is the first time that infants will be taught at the former Red Maids’ site.

This reflects the experience that Redland High brings to the new School as they first educated infant children as far back as the 1880s!

The idyllic location of the Infant and Junior School on Grange Court Road, is currently undergoing renovation plans that include a new playground and new classrooms, due to open from Easter this year, plus there are plans to increase the space for the art and music provision.

In the adjoining Senior School, accessed from Westbury Road, there are exciting changes too, with a new state-of-the-art auditorium and assembly Hall being built for September 2017.

As well as the beautiful green setting in North Bristol, the School offers wraparound care from 7.45am to 6pm in order to make school life as flexible as possible for working families.

There is an in-depth and varied learning programme and extensive extra-curricular provision, including fun, competitive sport starting at infant age.
