‘Mischief Makers’ Summer Reading Challenge: a free kids’ activity at Bristol libraries

Looking for something to do with the kids over the Summer holidays?  Come and join the Mischief Makers Summer Reading Challenge at your local library!

The Summer Reading Challenge is a free annual event organised by The Reading Agency.

It encourages children aged 4-11 to read six library books during the long summer holiday, often a time when children’s reading dips.

It’s a great way to encourage your child read over the summer break, it’s brilliant fun and free!

This theme of the Summer Reading Challenge 2018 is called Mischief Makers and is inspired by the much-loved children’s title Beano, which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.

Just visit your local library and pick up your free Mischief Makers starter pack.  Join Dennis, Gnasher and the gang, with a brilliant fold-out map of BeanoTown and smelly stickers to collect.

Have fun together, read together and at the end your child will receive a fantastic Mischief Makers medal and certificate.
